|How to reach Brisighella|
7 november: Fair of culinary delights of Piglets: This is a characteristic town fair that welcomes you "to process the meat of the pig". In fact, the fair re-proposes the old ritual of processing the meat of the pig, the old way farmers used to do in the past; from the sloughtering of the animal to the processing of the meat by professional "norcini" (pig-workers).
14 november: Volpina Pear and Cheese Fair. The "volpine pears", unique for their small shape, round and hard, were a typical product of the Lamone valley. This fair has greatly contributed in the re-discovery of this long forgotten product, offering the possibility to appreciate it once more. This particular type of pears can be best appreciated boiled in a mixture of water and wine or baked.
21 november: Truffle Fair. Truffle is the most wanted and noble product of the hills of Brisighella. The truffle- finders of the Lamone valley are very skilled in finding this unique underground delicacy with their trained dogs . During the fair you can find the most precious autumn-white truffle, with its intense aroma, or the black one, not to be undervalued either. One can taste it in all local restaurants, cooked by expert chefs.
28 november: the Olive-Tree Fair. Olive-tree farming is a typical cultivation in the area of Brisighella, dating back to Roman time. In this picturesque medieval village the passion for old good things have remained untouched and during this fair the famous extra virgin olive oil from Brisighella is highly celebrated. "Brisighello" is an oil which has been given the Protected Denomination of Origin. At the fair this D.O.P. oil can be bought at the stand of the Coop. Agricola Brisighellese.
